(1) Model Selection
The selection and determination are primarily based on the operating environment and intended use. Generally, crawler loader are used for quarries and soft-surface operations.
(2) Powertrain Selection
The most important consideration when purchasing a loader is power. For operations in special areas, such as those above 3,000 meters above sea level, a special high-altitude diesel engine should be used.
(3) Transmission Selection
Hydraulic-mechanical transmission is generally used, with the torque converter being the key component. Currently, most loaders produced in my country use twin-turbine, single-stage, two-phase hydraulic torque converters.
When selecting a compact wheel loader, it's also important to fully consider the loader's braking performance, including multiple braking, parking brakes, and emergency brakes. Brakes come in three types: shoe-type, caliper-type, and wet multi-plate. Brake actuation mechanisms typically utilize booster devices, powered by compressed air, air-over-oil, and hydraulic systems. Currently, air-over-oil braking systems are commonly used, typically employing dual-circuit braking systems to enhance driving safety.
